I am a visual person; a person of passion with dynamic and evolving interests. Having always been an artist at heart with an interest in human nature, I studied art and psychology at Pitzer College. Post college, I decided to continue my study of the arts in a more practical manner, completing a textile and surface design program at FIDM. After a successful five-year career working in the fashion industry as both as textile and embroidery designer, I felt that it was time for a change. I found myself questioning the global and environmental implications of my work and yearning for a role in the industry which could help bring about positive change. These aspirations led me to enroll in a master’s program focused on sustainability in the creative industries in Berlin. This area of study resonated with my specific interests in merging fashion and design with my concern for the environment. I am convinced that sustainable and environmentally conscience industries will be the way of the future.

Designers find inspiration from nature, both in form and function. That is why it is of the utmost importance that we collectively find solutions to the challenges facing our modern world. I am a staunch believer in this proposition and have recommitted myself to farthing a sustainable and equitable agenda in my personal and professional life.
